Nutritionists Earn CEUs Through Diamond V^® 
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (May 2010)—During the recent Diamond V Consultant Advisory Roundtable (DCAR) in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, dairy nutritionists and veterinarians gathered for continuing education, debate and discussion. The DCAR meeting was one in an ongoing series that answers the growing need for cutting edge information and a forum for discussing the latest information on nutrition and health. Dairy professionals earned continuing education credits and had the opportunity to discuss the latest theory on feeding cows with colleagues from across the nation. 

During the two-day meeting, the nutritionists and veterinarians gained new insights on timely feed-related topics including:

• The metabolic regulation of feed intake
• Factors affecting fiber and carbohydrate digestion, pH and butterfat
• Grouping for 1-2-3-4 group total mixed rations (TMR)
• Use of decision tools such as the Diamond V meta-analysis to make statistically valid dairy decisions
